Your Stay

Guests at the Avalon will find that the historic charm of this 100-year-old home has been preserved in harmony with the modernizations necessary to ensure the comfort of visitors.  There is a billiard room, a large living room with TV and a “boat bar,” a dining room that can seat 12 and a large covered porch overlooking Vineyard Sound with the beacon of Gay Head lighthouse blinking on the far horizon. We have eight guest bedrooms, most have private bathrooms with claw-foot tubs; stand up shower baths are also available for guests’ use.  Twin, full, queen, and king beds are available and some of the larger rooms can easily accommodate couples with children and added cots.  We have shared cooking facilities for our guests that include everything you’ll need, including a gas bbq, basic spices, paper towels, coffee maker and filters and more.  Avalon does have lawn games and board games but no guarantees of what items are missing each season.
